Naturalmente la lettura di testi su tali dispositivi può risultare poco ergonomica e stancante per gli occhi, e può essere più adatta per la consultazione non prolungata di documenti scientifici, o ad esempio la lettura di fumetti a colori (escludendo gli smarphone, decisamente scomodi per tale utilizzo, ma probabilmente utilizzabili per reading short stories.
