defender of Italians Gabibbo, we all know, no one turns to the authorities when something non funziona,quando termina la pazienza ,si supera il limite della sopportazione,o quando si assiste a delle ingiustizie.
Il Gabibbo,le Iene,mi manda raitre...tocca a far così in questo paese.
Come quando,ad esempio,si prova da una settimana a contattare l'azienda fornitrice di gas della zona per comunicarle delle cose,senza risultato.
Via mail,via telefono,via numero verde ( 3 ore in attesa per 3 volte ),niente,saranno tutti morti..eppure la bolletta mia arriva,quindi qualcuno c'è in azienda!
Ma non voglio lamentarmi come al solito,volevo solo informavi che esiste anche Capitan Basilico se avete dei problemi e se gabibbo e company sono troppo impegnati.

Parafrasando il Candide di Voltaire: questo paese non sarà il migliore dei paesi possibili, ma è anche l’unico che abbiamo, forse è per questo che varrebbe la pena renderlo migliore di quanto è.
Il fatto però, è che per renderlo un pò migliore è necessario conoscerlo, perché la conoscenza è un’arma, è lo strumento per diventare coscienti e consapevoli, è un mezzo per iniziare il miglioramento.
Questo è ciò che oggi l’informazione fasulla sta cercando di impedire, ossia venire a conoscenza di quello che accade, della situazione in cui siamo. La corretta informazione invece mette a conoscenza e la conoscenza è un'arma per essere liberi ma chi governa vuole sudditi non uomini liberi.
Telegiornali, tv, stampa, web, sono diventati non poco diversi dal Ministero della Verità che Orwell racconta in 1984, where senior officials and employees of all ranks shall endeavor to distort, change, bend and transform information in a way that responds to the directives of the oligarchy in the country's dominant imagery.

The medical profession is forced to live together col dubbio. Come sapere quando smussarlo e non lasciarsi imbrigliare nel panico dell’incertezza mettendolo a tacere e quando invece dare ascolto a quel dubbio, perché magari campanello di allarme di un errore che va corretto?
Come sapere quando soffermarsi di più al letto di un paziente che non convince, quando è necessario spingersi oltre ciò che l’obiettività dei dati non incita a sospettare? Come sapere quando si sta facendo “la cosa giusta” ?
Questo libro è una pacata riflessione, disegnata con le immagini di storie cliniche e pazienti, che cerca di tracciare dei confini tra il dovere e la passione, tenta di essere una guida per chi sta iniziando la professione e, un'esortazione per chi invece da anni la pratica, a non perdere mai un requisito che al medico non deve mancare: la scrupolosità.
Da qui un coraggioso incitamento a trattare il paziente con perizia, obiettività, professionalità, esperienza ma soprattutto "con cura", ossia con quel qualcosa in più che, oltre al dovere , risiede nell’umanità, la stessa che forse può spingerci a voler far sempre meglio per chi si affida alle nostre cure, che ci esorta "a salire quei quattordici piani" e a non perdere la voglia di farlo per tutta la durata della carriera.

Forse prima di impiegare risorse ed energie per progettare la "cittadinanza a punti" che come nel gioco dell'oca ti fa saltare ora dieci caselle avanti ora quattro indietro, sarebbe più congeniale non risolvere il problema a valle, ma a monte sia andando a setacciare con rigidità chi alimenta il lavoro al nero e ha interessi e profitti ad assumere l'immigrato clandestino, sia tutta quella nutrita schiera di intrallazzoni che sui finti permessi di soggiorno ci mangiano lautamente e poi magari, prima di assicurarsi che lo straniero padroneggi elegantemente la lingua italiana e conosca la costituzione (quando neanche alcuni parlamentari ne conoscono gli articoli e sbagliano a coniugare i congiuntivi) non sarebbe forse il caso che fosse lo stato stesso a farsi carico veramente (non solo nella teoria politica) di fornire questo servizio di "italianizzazione " tramite i famosi suddetti corsi di lingua e divulgazione della carta costituzionale.
Non si tratta di essere buonisti e caritatevoli, si tratta di essere modernamente concreti, attuali e coerenti con un’epoca storica che non può chiudersi su un’anacronistica guerra di civiltà trying to hide behind the old colonialist and aggressive mood.

Questa è una review di 46 lavori tratti dalla letteratura epidemiologica pubblicati tra 1987 e il 2003 riguardo alla relazione tra tumori ( sarcomi dei tessuti molli , linfomi non Hodgkin , cancro della laringe ), neoplasie infantili e malformazioni congenite in soggetti residenti in aree con impianti di incenerimento.
Qui invece uno studio della regione Veneto condotto tra 1990 -1996 realizzato tramite dati raccolti dal registro tumori della regione sulla relazione tra i sarcomi e le emissioni di 33 inceneritori della zona. Per ogni soggetto è stata considerata la localizzazione geografica dell’indirizzo dove era residente nel periodo 1972- 86 durante il quale being active all incinerators, there was the maximum activity and pollution in the study population there was an excess risk of sarcoma associated cartel and duration of exposure.

In questo contesto è stato svolto, da parte dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) e dell'ASL di Mantova, uno studio caso controllo finalizzato a stimare il rischio associato alla residenza in prossimità del polo industriale. Lo studio ha preso in esame tutti i casi di sarcomi dei tessuti molli diagnosticati nel decennio 1989-98 nella popolazione adulta residente a Mantova e nei tre comuni limitrofi .
L’associazione fra sarcoma dei tessuti molli e distanza della residenza dall’inceneritore è stata valutata con l’analisi della regressione logistica; l’odds ratio (OR) associata alla residenza entro 2 km, standardizzata per età e sesso, è risultata pari a 31,4 .
A distanze maggiori, il rischio decresce rapidamente fluttuando intorno al valore nullo di 1.

Questa è una review di 46 lavori tratti dalla letteratura epidemiologica pubblicati tra 1987 e il 2003 riguardo alla relazione tra tumori ( sarcomi dei tessuti molli , linfomi non Hodgkin , cancro della laringe ), neoplasie infantili e malformazioni congenite in soggetti residenti in aree con impianti di incenerimento.
Qui invece uno studio della regione Veneto condotto tra 1990 -1996 realizzato tramite dati raccolti dal registro tumori della regione sulla relazione tra i sarcomi e le emissioni di 33 inceneritori della zona. Lo studio ha preso in esame tutti i casi di sarcomi dei tessuti molli diagnosticati nel decennio 1989-98 nella popolazione adulta residente a Mantova e nei tre comuni limitrofi .
L’associazione fra sarcoma dei tessuti molli e distanza della residenza dall’inceneritore è stata valutata con l’analisi della regressione logistica; l’odds ratio (OR) associata alla residenza entro 2 km, standardizzata per età e sesso, è risultata pari a 31,4 .
A distanze maggiori, il rischio decresce rapidamente fluttuando intorno al valore nullo di 1.

Se per mito si intende questo, ossia qualcuno o qualcosa da seguire pedissequamente, perdendo la propria individualità, la propria voglia di essere semplicemente come si è, allora è vero, forse è preferibile non averne.
Se il modello, deve diventare uno stereotipo di pietra, una maschera, una catena che lega in modo immutabile la propria voce a quella del coro, se diventa uno scudo dietro cui nascondere le proprie ambizioni, le proprie sconfitte, la paura di essere come si è per il fear of not being accepted, then better to have models, better not to build, better not to follow them.

Chi si concede di imparare dal mondo, dagli atri, dalle difficoltà che ti mettono in ginocchio senza perdere la propria personalità, ecco chi riesce a fare tutto questo impara forse anche a crescere come essere umano.
